Hi, I’m Margherita
I have taught in Armidale for nearly forty years. I have had the privilege of teaching students in K-12 in both the private and public sector; co-educational and single-sex schools. Over 15 years were spent as a casual teacher in the high school sector where I broadened my knowledge of all subject areas. I have seen too many students struggle with their schooling, leading to low self-esteem. This leads to not having the confidence to ask for help, thus perpetuating the cycle of becoming disengaged with a lowering level of self-worth.
My tutoring style encompasses mindset strategies which build the foundation of self-worth on which academic success can stand.
I work with Primary students, Language conventions to Yr 10, Numeracy to Yr7 and Mindset with all age groups.

I enjoy working with primary-school-aged students and believe early tutoring intervention can help build a sturdy foundation for their academic future!I believe that every child can reach their potential and enjoy learning when it is tailored to their needs. I enjoy making learning fun and bringing topics alive for the children. I have worked across our beautiful country, both teaching and providing support for children with learning challenges, through tutoring and sound and movement therapy (Extra lesson ⟨™⟩). I have seen blocks held in the physical body of children and adults removed by specific movements which then leave the children (and adults too), free to learn. Hello, My name is Tess, and I'm an Education (K-12) student halfway through my degree at the University of New England. As I'm studying a Kindergarten to Year 12 course, majoring in English and Modern History, I'm quite familiar with all current primary syllabi (excepting PDHPE), primary literacy and numeracy requirements, text analysis, primary and secondary historical source analysis, and secondary academic/essay writing and planning. I am also able to adapt teaching and learning styles to maximise student engagement and understanding.

Mathematics
Mathematics is a subject we all can enjoy. I enjoy numbers and love making mathematical concepts visually understandable for my students, whether it be fractions, trigonometry, index laws, gradients or calculus.
I have taught high school mathematics for at least 20 years and enjoy teaching students either face-to-face or teaching online. I like to teach with practical objects where possible, and I like to teach alongside the same math topics that a student is learning at school.
So anywhere from Year 5 to Year 12 Advanced/Extension, I’d be delighted to increase your confidence and understanding of mathematics.
